Odin von Bergstrasse is a dashing 4 ½ year old large classic German Shepherd. Odin is so classic looking, if most people imagine a German Shepherd they think of a dog like Odin. He looks like he just came out of a book on the ideal German Shepherd. When we met Odin we were so taken with him, we didn’t even notice he had a tattoo in his ear, which we can see in his pictures. Breeders tattoo their dogs to keep track of them; most of the tattooed dogs we get seem to be the German imports. Odin looks like he would be aloof and regal, which he is until you give him some attention and in no time he is giving kisses to your neck and cheek. This guy is a lover boy so get ready to swoon, volunteers and other dogs a like seem to love our newest addition to the rescue. Odin is used to riding in cars and tries to get into any car he sees. He seems to have had good care, he has some training, he is very well bred and has the straighter back and conformation of the German line. With some needed weight he could easily be 90 to 100 pounds. Odin is exquisite; you couldn’t find a more handsome dog anywhere.
